Description

This course traces the development of Jewish religious thought from Hebrew biblical times to the present day. After a brief overview of the evolution of Jewish traditions from the beginnings of the post-biblical period and through to the modern era, we focus on the diversity of thought and practice in the contemporary Jewish world.  This is best done by observation of the grand spectrum of Jewish religion from Orthodox to Mystical to Messianic Judaisms as they work through ongoing expressions of Jewish identity.
