The purpose of the National Jewish Fellowship is to proclaim the truth of Yeshua as the Messiah. Also to establish Messianic Jewish outreach and communities, and to serve as a resource to the Assemblies of God General Council and the greater Body of Messiah.
Violent antisemitic attacks in Washington, D.C. and Boulder, Colorado are underscoring concerns about the rise of antisemitism throughout the U.S. Recent studies have shown alarming evidence of the increase in antisemitic rhetoric. Most Jewish young adults (83%) in the U.S. report to have experienced antisemitism on social media. Similarly, nine in ten report seeing an increase in antisemitism since 2023.
Simchat Torah means “rejoicing in the Torah (or Law)” and is an extra-biblical holiday. Although it has been celebrated for more than 1,000 years, the form of celebration we know today came about in the 11th century. Even though it is not a holiday specifically mentioned in the Bible, it is connected to the eighth day (Shemini Azteret) celebrated after the Feast of Tabernacles (Sukkot) mentioned in Leviticus 23:36. Shemini means eighth and Atzeret means assembly.
