This course focuses upon the evolution of rabbinic Judaism in the first four centuries of the common era (CE). It not only tracts the geographic changes within the Jewish world but the cultural challenges they faced. The rabbis offered major adjustments to Jewish religion to accommodate the radically changing Jewish world.
