Description
Jeremiah prophesied of the Divine Branch of the Lord (23:5-6) who was to be Israel’s Deliverer and King (30:1-24). The Branch would be the key to the fulfillment of the Abrahamic promises (33:14-26) even as the New Covenant would be inaugurated (31:31-34).
Ezekiel’s tender sprig (17:22-24) was the Messianic Hope of Israel (21:25-27). The Messiah is the Shepherd of Israel (34:20-31) who affects the Restoration of Israel (37:15-28). Daniel predicts the coming Times of the Gentiles and the Messianic Kingdom (2:29-45). All is championed by the Glorious Son of Man (7:13-27).
